Should I apply maintenance during 9.2 upgrade?

I am currently in the process of upgrading Financials 9.1 to 9.2 and I would like to apply maintenance after I complete the upgrade to 9.2.  Is this still a good time to do this?  I am heaing that I should not apply any maintenace until after month-end processing has been completed.  In the past when upgrading from 9.0 to 9.1 we applied maintenance after the upgrade so that our Production environment would be current with maintenance.  With PUM and 9.2 I am not so sure.
