SES/Verity Search Combination

One of our customers has HCM, Fin, ELM and Portal. All these are currently in 8.51/9.1 while they are planning to upgrade tools to 8.54 for all the four.
At the application level, the plan is to upgrade Fin to 9.2/8.54 while all the rest will remain in 9.1/8.54.

Question:
Assuming HCM 9.1 is using Verity search; if we upgrade the Fin to 9.2 and integrate all the application through Portal Solutions 9.1/8.54, and enable SES.
1. Will Verity search still work for HCM 9.1/8.54?
2. If we enable SES at the Portal and Fin, will there be any compatibility issues?
3. Can SES and Verity be used concurrently at the portal so that SES is used for Fin and Verity is used for HCM?
