PeopleTools 8.54.05 with lightbox interface (Authorize.net)

We have an interface with a 3rd party credit card processor (Authorize.net) using App Packages and JQuery/JavaScript that uses a lightbox (thickbox, fancybox) to handle the CC processing/transaction pages.  We are also using a REST service with the CC processor.  Upon confirmation of the transaction, a message is displayed to the user in the lightbox which they then close and are returned to a PeopleSoft page. This is working smoothly in our production environment (Tools 8.53, PeopleSoft Financials 9.1) with the return back to PeopleSoft rendering an onscreen receipt with no added action needed by the user.  We are migrating
