Are there FCM/CM/ARM Migration Utilities to go from prior version to 11.1.2.4

Is there a supported path to migrate FCM applications from previous versions to the 11.1.2.4 while maintaining all the "history" in the CM/ARM applications?  More specifically if a customer is on version 11.1.2.3 of CM/ARM can they upgrade to the 11.1.2.4 version and still maintain the prior periods CM/ARM data for audit purposes?  So if have CM/ARM data from December of 2014 and they upgrade to 11.1.2.4 can they still view the December 2014 CM/ARM data in the 11.1.2.4 version?

I wasn't sure if there was a schema update utility available to upgrade existing applications or not.

If there is not a migration path available what's the recommendation for clients who wish to maintain CM/ARM "history"?
