Are there any guidelines on upgrading from 8.8 to 9.2 - Double jump upgrades ?

Looking for information on double jump upgrades. I know that the path is 8.8 to 9.1 and then 9.1 to 9.2. Do you just do the initial pass in the 8.8 to 9.1 and then do the normal upgrade passes of initial pass and test move passes in the 9.1 to 9.2 ?
