Are you able to "hot patch" your PeopleSoft applications?

When applying bundles to Campus Solutions, do I need to take the systems offline first or can I apply them while the application servers / process scheduler / web servers are running?  Usually I take everything down, but I haven't found documentation yet that says you need to.
