Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. How to start the Weblogic Webserver on port 80/443 as root and then change to a non-privileged user

Hi,

We have our Portal prod environment running with https port 443 and currently we are starting the weblogic with root user. Can you please provide the

document/procedure to start the Weblogic Webserver on port 80/443 as root and then change to a non-privileged user for PT 8.53 & PT8.54.

We tried with a doc taken from MOS, tried adding UID & GID but it didn't help us. Can you please suggest.
