India Localization Tax Calendar

Hi,

We are on R12.1.3 and using Purchasing, OM and all financial modules. We have inventory as well and all IL taxes ( Service Tax, VAT, TDS) apply .There is no manufacturing and no excise.

In respect to above business case , i would like to know if opening of Tax calendar every year is required or not. India Local Purchasing>India Localization>Setup>Additional Information> Tax Calendar

Suppose the FY is 2014-15 and the Tax calendar is 2013-14 how it will impact, does it impact generating IL tax accounting entries or on any reports ?

Would request experts to  answer.
