PT 8.53.10/w FSCM 9.1 to PT 8.53.xx/w FSCM9.2 Upgrade : Clarification needed !

Hello

We are using MicroSoft Windows as an operating system & MicroSoft SQL Server as a back end database for our PeopleSoft environments.

 

So far the upgrade strategy what we followed is 

 

Install the New Release DEMO database (Ex PT 8.53.xx/w FSCM 9.1) on MS SQL SERVER database server , apply Required for Upgrade bundles etc. and use this as Source database and my Target database is my copy of production database(ex: PT 8.51.xx/w FSCM 9.0).

 

For now we are planning to upgrade our PT 8.53.10/w FSCM 9.1 to PT 8.54.xx/w FSCM 9.2

 

Do I have to do the same old fashion way as i mention above or
