Upgrading to PeopleTools 8.54; Tuxedo Backwards Compatible?

Hi All,

We are currently on PeopleTools 8.50 and are planning to upgrade to 8.54

Our test servers are shared and we ave multiple testing environments on them.

I see that PeopleTools 8.54 requires a different version of Oracle Tuxedo, version (12.1.1.0.0)

What I want to know is, because we can only have one Tuxedo install per machine, will installing the new version of Tuxedo adversely affect the other test environments on our shared server?

Is Tuxedo (12.1.1.0.0) backwards compatible with previous versions of PeopleTools?

How badly will this negatively affect the other environments while we upgrade?


Are there any other things to be aware of when upgrading from 8.50 to 8.54?
