CPU spikes on standby

Hello everybody,

 

We're observing constant CPU spkies in the standby's HA pair, I think this is not normal since I understand the active box is the one dealing with all the traffic and standby is just syncing configuration/state of calls/peer health checking but not the actual call setup/teardown of calls or the media handling.

 

Checking an output of the cpu processes we notice sipd being the most cpu intensive (by far).

 

Checking the logfile for the process in the standby box we see no activity.

 

Any Ideas for this scenario?, Is this a normal behavior (I don't think so)?
