Investigating High CPU load on 4500

Hi All,

I'm currently investigating high CPU load (and spikes) on our SBCs.

I can see that tsipd is consuming most of the CPU and I'm looking into reducing unnecessary SIP signaling overhead traversing the SBC. This is a hosted solution so all methods of signaling are to be considered....

REG

SUB

NOT

REFER

INVITE

etc....

I have a few options that I am going to implement but have some questions. Can anyone confirm if cached registrations have any effect on the CPU usage of the SBC or are they handled solely by the  NP/CAM table?

This also goes for ‘Invalid Messages’, SIP keepalives that are sent by our CPE are deemed as invalid and there are plenty of them. Do they have an effect on the CPU?

Howdy, Stranger!
