howto exit CLI "vi" mode

Hi

 

I've been searching for an explanation on how to get out of the input mode you get into by pressing "esc" twice ..?

If you press esc twice, you enter an "vi" editor'isch mode, recogniced by "up arrow" does not work, and you'll have to press "i" to enter edit mode, and more frustrating things ...

 

I'm running 6.1.0 MR-10

 

Any help would be appreciated.
