Adding a temporary license on top of an existing permanent license on 3800

I've received a temporary license (capacity expansion until new hardware/SBC arrives) from Acme to our 3800. What will happen after passing the "End date" of the temporary license? Will the previous number of licensed session capacity/feature set  (included in our permanent licese) show up automatically or do I have to reload the permanent license in some way in order to "revert back" to the lower capacity?
