default-gateway is pingable but 4500 says it doesn't exist but connectivity is working.

I have a pair of 4500's in HA mode and both of them report the error:  "ERROR: system-config has reference to default-gateway [172.25.1.1] which does not exist" when I do a "verify-config".  However network connectivity to the management port works and other than the reported error there doesn't appear to be any issues.

 

I'm wondering what controls the acme packet 4500's default gateway check?  Can the parameters be changed?
