What priority is ICMP traffic to an SBC?

Hi All,

 

I have a question about the behaviour of the SBC when it comes to ICMP traffic. I have ICMP enabled for my media interfaces and I get ping responses, however I get quite erratic response timings, anywhere from 8ms up to 800ms.

 

The end to end network is sub 10ms (when pinging on routers) and so my question is does the SBC perform "best effort" on ICMP traffic?

 

I see sp interfaces in "show routes" which I think refer to slow path?
