logical/loopback ip configuration for management only

I'm trying to setup the SBC with a remotely accessable loopback IP for management purposes.

The SBC is located behind a few routers and a firewall, so I need to use a specific public IP I was assigned to access it, that isn't in use on the SBC otherwise (the SBC uses internal private IP's for communication).

 

I've tried configuring the IP as a separate VLAN, but I wasn't able to access it remotely.

I tried to configure the loopback IP but the SBC states it can't find the "lo" interface.  Is there some other way I could setup the SBC to use this IP?
