Upgrading the software on a Net-Net 3000 or 4000-series

To upgrade the software on a Net-Net 3000 or 4000-series High Availability pair here is a rough guide.  

 

Please read through the documentation for your software version before attempting any upgrade

 

1. obtain the version you'd like from the downloads section of the support portal
2. check that there's sufficient space in /boot or /code using the check-space boot command
3. run backup-config
4. upload the new image to the SBC's /boot directory by FTPing or SFTPing to the eth0/wancom0 management IP address
5. change the boot parameters to reflect the new image name
6. reboot the standby system, wait for it to synchronize with the active system
