Does crystal reports and nvision depend on Microsoft .net versions?

Hello,

We are on PeopleTools 8.47...Our windows server has MS .net 2.0 installed on it. The OS team wants to install .Net 4.0 on the server. Does this impact PS? If yes, in what way? DO we need to take any precautions? Please suggest.
