can jdk7 be used with Weblogic 10.3.6 for PeopleTools 8.51

Presently we are using Weblogic 10.3.2 with Jrockit 6 for PeopleTools 8.51 (OS : Linux 6).  And understand we can not use sha256 certificate with this combination.  Can jdk7 be used with Weblogic 10.3.6 for PeopleTools 8.51 so that we can use sha256 certificate?
