LOBs as SECUREFILE in OIM 11.1.2.2

We are doing a re-implementation of OIM and are installing 11.1.2.2.  The old version is 9.1.02

I was surprised to see that all of the LOBs in 11.1.2.2 are not defined as SECUREFILE.  I was hoping to see the UPA.SNAPSHOT LOB defined as SECUREFILE.

Is there any reason for this?  Are we supported if we force this by setting the database parameter db_securefile='ALWAYS' ?
