Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. When to Archive Journal and Ledger Data

Howdy Gurus;

We are upgrading to FSCM 9.2 (People Tools 8.53.16) and we’re encountering an issue with our post Allocation processing.

Once Allocation has been completed, the next step is to run a job where the Allocation data is copied back into the ACTUALS Journals.

The first step in this job is Creating, then Edit/Posting a very large Journal (4+Million lines).

In FSCM 9.1 (People Tools 8.52) this takes approximately 3 hours to perform. With the upgrade, we are experiencing this running in 25+ hours.

While working through this issue, the talk has now centered internally on the amount of data on the LEDGER and JRNL_LN tables.
