Missing data in initial pass of HRMS 9.0/8.52 upgrade to HCM 9.2.011/8.54

We did not experience any issues during the upgrade process, but in our testing of the initial upgrade pass, we noticed that we are missing data. We first noticed missing icons, then pagelets, and then pivot grids. These issues were all resolved by exporting/inporting from our 9.2 DEMO into our upgraded environment. Luckily the pagelets and pivot grids have wizards for this. Now we have found that we're missing some, not all, delivered approval processes and related content. What could we be missing in our upgrade process to have some, but not all of this data? For example, we've got
