How can I have a quarterly maximum/Cap with payments being made monthly to Salesreps

I have a requirement to pay a quarterly maximum of say $ 10,000 to our salesreps

I can set up a maximum amount of $ 10,000 in my 'Payment Plan' and have a period of Quarter...

The problem is that then no amount shows up in my monthly paysheets as 'Worksheet earnings amount' - It shows up only during the last month of the Quarter

I would like to pay the Salesreps monthly but still have a Quarterly Cap ..any suggestions ?
