Consignment Indicator at Item location level

Would like to seek your view here. There has been discussion on how we handle the consignment solution (a big topic which has not yet concluded a very good solution).

One of the problem areas is the fact that an SKU is normal merchandise item in one region and a consignment item in another region. There are 2 options:

- Option 1: use 2 SKUs to represent normal merchandise and consignment item respectively. Need mapping at interface layer.

- Option 2: use 1 SKU (and hence 1 barcode) to represent both normal merchandise and consignment item. Indicator at location level to differentiate the “Operation model”.
