9.2 HCM/ 8.54 Tools Security

We are in the process of upgrading from 9.1 to 9.2 HCM and tools from 8.51 to 8.54. Our user profiles had to be modified to enable our users to log into. We copied the delivered PeopleSoft User role and modified it by removing permissions our users do not have access to.  However, there are several components that are still accessible/visible to our users that should not be.  These components have been removed from our copied role/permission lists. Has anyone encountered this while upgrading?  If so, what did you do to resolve it?
