Approval Framework Administrator Can't Deny a Requisition

From the Approval Monitor using the Requisition Approval Process, the administrator (me) gets a message when trying to deny a requisition for an approver. The message is

"Field does not exist - %1.%2. (180, 104) A reference to a record.field name was made and the record.field name was not found to exist. Verify that the field exists on the page in which the PeopleCode program is being executed. Review the program for errors. If necessary, run a PeopleCode trace to determine the program that failed."

I have not run a trace yet, but have searched MOS and have not been able to find a bug that would address this. Does this sound familiar to anyone? If not, I will ask for the trace.
