How often do people run the Combo Edit process to catch new project et al added ?

I've just started working at a new company and found that the General Ledger people are running the FS_CBED process every hour for all BUs and on the 30 and 45 for the major BU .

Having worked for some large companies and state governments, have never seen this process being run so frequently.  In fact, most places I've worked the process just runs once a day at time after all the transactions for the day are expected to have been completed and only outgoing interfaces are running, of course,  being cognizant not to impact those in an off timezone.  Of course, at such places I've seen  on demand runs when changes are immediately necessary.
