Drilling URL Query Security

Hi - We are a shop that uses IDM (third party security that creates a PS cookie session) - so our signon code uses IDM to authenticate the user.  With Drilling Query we have no way of telling our signon code who the user is during the drill down via login without having the user log back in -but we would need to kill the original session to allow the user back in.  Has anyone found a work around for this?
