EffdtCheck Meta SQL

Hi,

Recently we had a problem with a piece of custom code that used the EffdtCheck meta sql against Job.  We have since learned this is not an appropriate use of that meta sql because of how it includes effseq (see this article %EffdtCheck - PeopleSoft Wiki) - see example below.  But, since we had copied that usage from somewhere else we took a little look around and discovered that it is used against Job in a variety of places in Vanilla code as well. I do plan to file an SR about it but wanted to see if people have any thoughts on this - or how we might at least try to mitigate the impact of it.
