Online trace peoplecode and SQL options are not getting disabled even after unchecking the check box

I am trying to disable the online trace peoplecode and SQL options, but these are not getting disabled even after unchecking the check boxes. It keeps defaulting to the original value. I checked the setting in the app server & process configuration file, everything looks fine. I am using PT8.50 and HCM9.0 application.Is it a bug or what? Any suggestions?
