PeopleTools 8.54 with Citrix Netscaler 10.1 Session Persistence Problem
Problem Summary
The Netscaler appliance does not maintain session persistence between PeopleSoft web servers. Oracle Support indicated that the problem is on the Netscaler side of the environment. We are interested to know if any other PeopleSoft customer has been able to configure the Netscaler to maintain session persistence between multiple PeopleSoft applications. We want to implement Work Centers in PeopleSoft, but we cannot until the issue is resolved.
Problem Description
When a user logs into the Portal application and access links in Work Centers or pagelets, the user intermittently receives "page is no longer available" or "error getting content" error messages. The problem only occurs when more than one web server for the content provider application (FSCM, CRM, HRMS) is running. That is, if only one web server is running for each content provider application, the errors do not occur.
