Dash boards in 9.1

Hello,

We are still in 9.1 and 8.52 tools release and trying to create simple dash board for GL.  Two queries created and one of them has a prompt values and I want to show that as a table in the Dash borad.  I created a pagelet for query but I had to put some default value for the prompt and when I use that pagelet in Dash board every time data returns with the default prompt value I specified but not allowing me to change the prompt values. Seems I could not do that... Am I  missing some thing?  But
