Upgrade HCM9.0/PT8.51 to HCM9.2/PT8.54 for Msft Sql server 2008

We are planning to upgrade from HCM 9.0/PT8.51, Msft Sql server 2008 to HCM9.2/PT8.54, Msft Sql server 2012

Here is what I assume occurs (please correct me accordingly).

1.Install a 9.2 HCM on PT 8.54 demo version (HCM92DMO) Msft Sql server 2012 using the classic install.

2.Download the latest PUM image HCM (9.2.0.12, Oracle RDBMS) and extract it on Oracle VM.

3.Using CA ( Change Assistant) extract required for install/upgrade patches using PUM image as source DB and apply it on HCM92DMO.

4.Make sure HCM90DMO exists and take a backup.

5.Create a Copy of current production (HCM90CPY, PT 8.51/HCM9.0) on Msft Sql server 2012 using the latest HCM9.0 PROD backup.
