Patching OAM and OID in a highly available configuration

Hello - we are using OAM 11.1.2.2 and OID 11.1.1.7.

We have oam1 and oam2 in a cluster and being balanced by OHS. We have oid1 and oid2 components being balanced by a LBR. For the CPUJUL2015 critical patches and OAM bundle patch 6, would like to patch oam1, oid1, and the admin servers of the homes, then bring them back up, then patch oam2 and oid2. This way, the services should never be completely down. Can this be done safely?

Wondering if anyone has done this before and can help us out.
