OIM-OAM integration using Active Directory

Hello,

We're implementing OIM 11gR2 and OAM 11gR2 and we want to use Active Directory as Identity Store.

According to the compatibility matrix, this is possible and certified but in all of the documentation it seems that we mus configure OVD as Identity Store and integrate Active DIrectory on it  for acomplishing our goal.

Is it true or is there any way to configure Active Directory as Identity Store for the integration in a more direct way?
