How to determine in replenishment, how many orders will be created for one supplier-loc or only one

Hi,

I wanted to know,

While replenishment, for a particular supplier-location ( lets say supplier sup1 and location loc1 )  combination , we will be having only 1 PO raised ?

Or Is there some criteria with the supplier or location or dept
