How to send Email notification to Customer for Manually Created work item

Hi All,

we have customer requirement that, business wants to send  statement to customer manually. they dont want automated process of sending email statement directly to customer through strategy.

we planned to create new strategy with manual work item that, once the strategy created, it will create the manual workitem that 'send email notification to customer' and assigns to collector. from here, collector has to send the statement from his email ID to customer. is that correct or do we have any other way of processing.
