What have other customers done to load ACK/NACK messages from SWIFT?

What have other customers done to load ACK/NACK messages from SWIFT?

Currently, there is an enhancement request that has been with development for over 2 years (Doc ID 1593941.1 - Bug 17568547).  Can any customers facing the same requirement provide insight on how they designed a workaround?  e.g create a custom file layout? new layout catalog? custom App Engine?  all or pieces of the above?

Please advise.  Thanks!
