Change Assistant is recovering from an interrupted job

Dear PS Upgrader's,

Has anyone seen change assistant error "Change Assistant is recovering from an interrupted job". Getting this error while opening existing Job.

I am at the tail end of application upgrade from PT 8.49.33/9.0 to 8.54.13/9.2. Finished executing “Running the Final Alter Audit” but Change Assistant was hung for several hours at the step for no reason. So killed the job and exit from CA. When i try to open the job again getting error. Is there a way to get around this without uninstalling CA?
