RMAN backup time remain same after database housekeeping

Hi All,

We have an Oracle 11gR1 Standard Edition database (11.1.0.7). Database physical size previously was 2.6TB and logical size was 1.2TB. Recently we did housekeeping ( basically deleting old records of tables) and brought down the database logical size to 710GB. Then we performed datafiles resizing and manage to bring down physical size to 1.3TB. However, my RMAN backup time and backup piece size remains same even after housekeeping. I believe (correct me if im wrong) RMAN still backing up blocks with no data though the rows has been deleted. How can i eliminate this issue apart from moving tables and
