Patching WebLogic server to new level - Has anyone done it?

On FSCM 9.1 | Tools 8.53.04 | Windows Server 2008 | PS DBA Consultant working at a public sector county gov't site.

We have been having problems on our Outward-Facing Production eSupplier Portal and Oracle recommended a patch to WebLogic to WLS 10.3.6.0.11 from WLS 10.3.6.0.0

Also Java patch 21494055 was required. We have applied the patches to our DEV server and it appears to be OK, however it's difficult to test since there is very little user load in DEV.

We worry about applying to Prod in case it goes south and wonder if anyone has done it before and knows if there a procedure to back it out if it caused Prod problems because this server is very high profile!
