Going Live With SES & eProcurement 9.2

Background

I am working with a customer who is upgrading to 9.2. They currently use eProcurement and have an extensive Item Catalog. We would ideally like self-service users to be able to use the embedded Secure Enterprise Searches within the delivered eProcurement Components to be able to search for Items immediately after Go-Live.

Q1: Full Index Build On The Item Catalogue

We are concerned that it may be difficult to find sufficient time to run the necessary full index process during the cut-over window. Has anyone successfully circumvented this problem by refining the steps necessary to build the index, perhaps in a Dress Rehearsal environment before going live, and then seeding the production SES instance with the pre-built full index data?
