NFS server log lagging behind

Hi,

We have a Solaris 11.2 server configured as an NFS v3 server with logging enabled.

To start with everything worked as expected. After a while however the NFS server log began to lag behind, at times by over day.

Neither restarting the NFS services nor rebooting the whole server made any difference. The log is still being written to but the log entries are several hours old.

Per day about 50MB of NFS logs are created and rotated daily.

The settings in /etc/default/nfslogd are:

  MAX_LOGS_PRESERVE=100

  MIN_PROCESSING_SIZE=100000

  IDLE_TIME=5

  PRUNE_TIMEOUT=1000

I noticed the nfslog workbuffer files in /var/nfs are fairly large:

Howdy, Stranger!
