Last activity Date on the vendor/supplier

Hi,

For the vendors that came over to 9.0/9.2 from 7.5, the last activity date on the vendor remains blank until you update the vendor and save the changes. Is there a process to update that date on the vendors? shouldn't this be taken care by the upgrade process? Please let me know if anyone faced the same problem and if there is a solution.
