Can Peopletools for PS FSCM,HCM & CRM applications can be upgraded simultaneously to the same version at the same time?

If yes, are there any benefits of doing this? What are the benefits?

We have 3 below PeopleSoft applications

• PeopleSoft Financials;
• PeopleSoft HCM; and
• PeopleSoft CRM (HR Helpdesk).

These applications are integrated using integration broker.

    

The question is “As a principle,
should we schedule out PeopleTools upgrades for the applications simultaneously
in order to maintain the same version of PeopleTools across applications?”

Any suggestions,recommendations,knowldege on this are welcome
