AppServ time high from PeopleTools Ping

Hello all,

I am facing some slowness in a production instance. When I tried to run PeopleTools Ping, the result that I'm getting is showing AppServ time is high (4secs+) while for Web & DB is less than a sec. How do I troubleshoot from this? Memory utilization in Application Server is not really high.
