Password reset problem while having 2 different peopletools version

We are having 2 instance of peoplesoft system .

First one : Tools version  8.53.11

Databse : 11.2.0.3

Second one : Tools version 8.49

Database : 11.1.0.7.0

userprofile two instance is integrated by IB .

need to check whether we will face any problem because of different database version ?
