PeopleSoft SSO using WebLogic

Has anyone been able to successfully setup SSO using WebLogic Server with SAML 1.1  or 2 for PeopleSoft access?

We are on PeopleSoft Enterprise (Non Portal Edition) and will be upgrading to PT 8.54 or later. We are currently using Siteminder Agent which loads Header variables with values from Active Directory that we need, and we have custom Signon PeopleCode to retrieve the header values and do the authorization. My company is dropping the Siteminder Agent and going to ADFS (Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services) and as usual they are looking for a low/no cost alternative solution. My DBA says that SSO using WebLogic Server is not certified but we should give it a shot anyway.
