Custom Connector Steps

We are using OOTB connectors provided from Oracle for HR applications but now we have requirement to integrate OIM 11GR2PS2 with one of custom applications.

I was going through the oracle provided pdf/doc but not clear.

I want to know the outlined steps or If some one in this community already done it then Please share the doc/links/blogs.
